From our inception, NFM has been guided by principles of selling cheap, telling the truth and providing outstanding selection and service. By keeping our principles in mind, we believe we can fulfill our true mission: Improving people's lifestyles.
More than just a store, NFM is in business to improve people's lifestyles. By offering selection, savings and ideas you won't see anywhere else, we hope to bring customers one step closer to the home of their dreams. Whether you need new wood floors, games for family night, or a fridge to pack with treats, you'll find it here. Better yet, we work to keep our prices competitive so you never have to break the bank. We love our customers like family, which is why we strive to provide the best experience every step of the way.
NFM prides itself in an inclusive and unique culture. We value our teammates and know that, when our staff excel, our customers benefit. We are a team, building one another up with peer recognition, company‑wide awards and development opportunities. Whether it's a shift or a shopping trip, we want to improve people's lives.
See What Home Means to Us
Our homes are so much more than four walls and a roof. They're our offices, our classrooms, our movie theaters. The comforts of home are everything. And today, home life has never been more important.
For 85 years, we've strived to make the comforts of home accessible for everyone. Because it's not just a couch, a chair or a table. They're pieces that set the stage for the lives we want to live. Where we share laughs, big feelings, and make memories. At their best, our homes bring us together. To do what we love with the people we love. That's why we're here. For home life, done right.
NFM is big on square footage but with small-town values that started with our founder, Rose Blumkin's first Omaha store in 1937. From store events to charity outreach, we don't think improving lifestyles stops at our front doors. In 2020, NFM opened Grandscape, a campus surrounding our Texas store and a unique mixed-use development full of food, fun, shopping and entertainment. In our other regions, it isn't uncommon to see us at music festivals, family mud runs or a local comicbook convention. Though times have changed, NFM is a family‑run business that still follows the vision Mrs. B set from the very beginning.
We support our community's well‑being through jobs, revenue, and the meaningful history of a fourth‑generation family business. The business may have been born in Nebraska, but NFM is where your house becomes a home.
At NFM, we are committed to giving customers and staff the best experience possible. Not content to just say we are putting in the work, we have the accolades to back up our legendary reputation. We are the proud recipients of a wide variety of honors:
