When two or more Sub-Zero units are installed side by side with less than a 2-inch separation, a dual installation kit is required. Dual installation kits prevent moisture formation between adjacent units due to increased heat generation. They ensure a seamless fit when placing Sub-Zero units close together. The dual installation kit does not add to the overall opening width. You simply add the individual unit widths together to determine the dual opening width.
