Fitbit Safety Recall, This recall is in response to reports of issues with Fitbit Ionic smartwatches, which Fitbit introduced in 2017 and stopped producing in 2020. After a thorough investigation, we determined that in limited instances the battery in some Ionic smartwatches may overheat, posing a burn hazard. Customer safety is always Fitbit’s top priority, and we are taking this action out of an abundance of caution for our users. We will offer a refund to all Fitbit Ionic customers. For your convenience, we have included the attached Recall Poster that outlines the most important details of this voluntary recall. We are requesting you to please place this poster in your store where customers can see it. Additionally, should you have any devices in your inventory, please contact your sales representative regarding their disposition and next steps in the refund process. This voluntary recall only involves Fitbit Ionic devices, and does not affect any other Fitbit smartwatches or trackers.
