Ty Carey
Concierge Team Sales Expert, Kansas City
With fourteen years at NFM, Ty has worked across departments from Warehouse Operations to Sales before ultimately finding his way to Concierge Services. He specializes in helping customers bring their vision to life and guiding projects from start to finish with furniture, electronics, and appliances. One of his most meaningful experiences as a Concierge was supporting a Make-A-Wish project, creating a dream space for a young customer. Outside of work, Ty enjoys family, cheering on his kids, and spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.
Giovanni Islas Castillo
Concierge Team Sales Expert, The Colony
Giovanni brings 9 years of NFM experience, primarily in Living Room sales, and now as a Concierge team member. He’s efficient at finding answers and ensuring a seamless customer experience. Giovanni enjoys assisting customers across every category. Outside of work, Giovanni is an audio, video, and lighting technician. He loves showing customers how NFM can be their one-stop shop for home needs.

Concierge Team Sales Expert, Kansas City
Ivan has 5 years of experience at NFM, with roles in Clearance, Dining, and the Design Gallery before joining Concierge. He specializes in providing tailored solutions for projects of any scale, from single rooms to multi-unit complexes. His most impactful project was furnishing housing for families of KU Medical patients. Ivan values family time, enjoys fitness, soccer, and video games, and is a proud Kansas City Chiefs fan.

Concierge Team Sales Expert, Kansas City
Cartier has ten years at NFM, with experience in Living Room and Bedroom before joining Concierge. He’s known for his personable approach, making customers feel valued and welcomed. His favorite project was furnishing twenty-six tiny homes for homeless veterans, balancing functionality with personal touches. Cartier enjoys going to church, traveling with his family, volunteering at food pantries, and creating memorable experiences for his kids.

Concierge Team Sales Expert, Kansas City
Josh has been with NFM for eleven years, holding a Sales role in Dining, and management roles in Bedroom and Hard Surfaces. Josh transitioned back to Sales in the Design Gallery before helping launch the Concierge program. He prides himself on delivering top-quality service and building long-term customer relationships. A highlight has been supporting nonprofits like Hope Is Alive, furnishing recovery facilities across multiple states. Outside of work, Josh is a golf enthusiast and a musician. He also enjoys spending time with his family.

Maddison has over 8 years at NFM, with experience in Sales, Interior Design, and management before joining Concierge. She’s known for her eye for design and dedication to personalized service. A favorite project was transforming a police department interview space into a comforting environment for survivors. Originally from California, Maddison now calls Texas home. She loves baking and is passionate about film and theme parks.

How to book an appointment and get the answers you need
What is the Concierge Service at NFM?
NFM’s sales experts provide personalized assistance for customers shopping across multiple departments, needing help with complex purchases, and/or wanting to shop virtually with a sales professional from the comfort of their own home. Concierge Services are designed to streamline the shopping experience and provide coordination between the product categories and ways a customer prefers to shop.
Who can utilize NFM’s sales experts?
Any customer who:
- Wants to work with one salesperson across multiple categories
- Prefers guided shopping for a large-scale project
- Prefers to shop virtually in lieu of coming into the store
- Is relocating and needs help furnishing a whole home
- Needs to shop from a distance for a family member or friend
- Is completing a project for a nonprofit organization
What is included in NFM’s Concierge Services?
The following services are offered free to all customers:
- In-Store Appointments: A sales expert will meet you at the front door and guide you through the shopping process so that you don’t have to try to find help in different areas of the store. Appointments can be booked online via the “Appointments” option under “Services” on NFM.com.
- Virtual Appointments: Shopping from a distance or unable to make it into the store in person? No problem! Customers can browse our products and even make purchases via virtual appointments with a Sales Expert. Appointments can be booked online via the “Appointments” option under “Services” on NFM.com.
- Single Point of Contact: Your sales expert will be your go-to as you complete your project or purchase. After your initial introduction, they’ll provide you with an email and phone number that can be used to communicate all follow-up directly with them.
Are there any products that the sales experts cannot sell?
There are a few unique products for which NFM offers extra specialized service to ensure you get exactly what you need. While your sales expert will not be able to sell these products directly, they will connect you with a fellow NFM colleague who can.
- Wall-to-wall carpet and hard-surface flooring products
- Home theater installation products (specifically provided by NFM EDIC – Electronics Design & Installation Services)
- Luxury/commercial appliances
- Wireless mobile
- Commercial or builder sales (specifically provided by NFM ProServices)
Can Concierge also offer Interior Design services?
No. Concierge sales experts help customers shop across multiple departments and coordinate purchases, but they do not create design plans or manage home layouts. However, if a customer is interested in interior design assistance, NFM does have designers available through the Design Gallery.
